Sadies Pics

This is what my bedroom looked like after Alan answered me for sadies...
Yep, that's my bed COVERED in glitter and confetti...
It's like there was a party in my room and I wasn't invited. Hey Nathan, look at the shelves. See the bottles? That's the soda. :D

Idea Thief

Mwahaha. I'm stealing everyone's ideas. I know Nathan and Nick have done this, and I'm sure other people have done this too.
Here's your one and only chance (maybe) to ask me anything, and have me come up with a somewhat decent answer. Hooray.
So act now, while the deal is still good. I'll be answering the questions on Saturday.
Ready. Set. Go.

Thankful: A Thanksgiving Post

Yeah, I know Thanksgiving is officially tomorrow. But I thought I'd get a jumpstart. ;)
So...as a special Turkey Day treat, I'm going to make a list of things I'm thankful for.

I'm thankful that we don't have school for another four days.
I'm thankful that I don't have english homework.
I'm thankful for great friends that I can always have fun with.
I'm thankful for good food and people to share it with.
I'm thankful for music, the kind I can dance to, the kind I can sing to, the kind I can feel the spirit with.
I'm thankful for froustaches. :-E
I'm thankful for the gospel, the knowledge it provides me with and the peace it gives me.
I'm thankful for a wonderful family that supports me in all that I do.
I'm thankful for great friends that support me in all that I do.
I'm thankful for a warm bed, soft plankets, and a comfortable pillow.
I'm thankful for parents that provide for me.
I'm thankful for grandparents who spoil me.
I'm thankful for the special moments in life.
I'm thankful for a special bond with my family, both immediate and extended.
I'm thankful for clothes that keep me warm, keep me cool, and keep me modest.
I'm thankful for cookies.
I'm thankful for the wonderful example set by friends, family, and church leaders.
I'm thankful for my Bishop, for the wonderful man that he is, and for the great relationship I have with him.
I'm thankful for technological advances that make my life easier, more entertaining, and well, better.
I'm thankful for smiles.
I'm thankful for those that came before me who paved a path of liberty and religious freedom.
I'm thankful for Joseph Smith, his inspiration, his dedication, and the path he paved.
I'm thankful for memories, and for pictures.
I'm thankful for tree.
I'm thankful for laughter.
I'm thankful for happiness.
I'm thankful for the holidays, and what they represent.
I'm thankful for the impact that each of you have had on my life.
I'm thankful for my testimony of Jesus Christ, Joseph Smith, and the Book Of Mormon.
I'm thankful for giggles.

Well, those are a few of the things I'm thankful for. They're not in any particular order. They all make me happy. So here's your challenge: Write a thank you note to someone. Not just a Turkey Gram, although those rock. Write a real thank you note. It can be a letter, it can be an email. It can be whatever you want it to be. Just let someone know how you feel about them, surprise them.

Thanks to everyone who has made a difference in my life, I owe you. I'm so glad you're my friends. :D You all rock, majorly.

Have an awesome Thanksgiving, everyone. Enjoy your long weekend. And avoid Black Friday shopping.

Hands Down

(8) Hands down, this is the best day I can ever remember, always remember. (8)
-Hands Down, Dashboard Confessional

That should be changed to the best WEEKEND I can ever remember. Oh man, it totally rocked. You have no idea.

So I already told you about Friday and Saturday. Sunday was just as awesome.

I got up, finished my post, and then went to church. I love church. We had a great sacrament meeting. One of the high councilmen spoke. He was really funny. He's from Wales, so he had a cool accent. It was good. They released my Sunday school teacher, so that was a bummer. I love Sister L. and I'm gonna miss her. We finished our Sunday school lesson early, so I talked to Josh for a bit. Then we had YW. Our lesson was on Courage. It was a really good lesson. After church, I came home and made sandwhiches for our Bishopric. They had to stay later after church, and my dad is the executive secretary, so I make them sandwhiches often. After that, it was basically chilling. I talked to Trevor, finished some homework, and talked to a few other people.

Then, something odd happened. Usually, my parents only make me clean my room if it's really messy. I had cleaned it on Friday, so it wasn't too bad. My bed was the only messy part. And I hate making my bed. I find it pointles....but I digress. My parents made me make my bed and finish the little things that needed to be clean. Weird. Then, during dinner, my dad's cell rang. He answered it. The conversation sounded like this:
"Well... Can you give me another half an hour?" Pause. "How about 7:30?" Pause. "Ok, see you then."
He was sitting close enough to me that I could hear Alan. I couldn't hear what Alan was saying, but I could hear Alan's voice.

Not at all suspicious.

After dinner, my parents tell me to take my sisters and stay at my grandma's house "until we call you."

Oh yeah, I don't suspect a thing.

So I go to my grandma's house. She's all "Why are you here?"
My response: "My date for sadies is trashing my room as we speak."
Grandma said "Oh, I"m sure your mom won't let them do anything too bad..."

Yeah, right.

I walk into my room. It's covered in glitter/confetti. Absolutely covered. Everywhere. Everything. Like an inch of glitter....The metallicy stuff that doesn't ever go away..

Yeah, my spotless room. It was covered. Oh, let's not forget the streamers and balloons. Yeah. Lots of those two. My first thought: laughter. My second thought, "I'm gonna kill Alan and Jaron."

Nah, just kidding. I was super happy to be answered. He said yes. And I'm super psyched for Saturday, it's going to be a blast! I got our t-shirts. They're awesome. Now I just need to get paid so I can buy everything else....

Oh man, I took pictures of my room. I should post them...first I need to figure out how to do that...

Anyway, there's Courtney's weekend. :D It was the best every. :D I hope you all had great weekends too! :-E
Cya!

Froustache! :-E

.....
Don't ask.
Nathan's laughing right now, I know he is.
....
Once again, don't ask.

Hm.... I told Nathan I would post this weekend, and here I am. Yesterday was pretty good. I've been in a sucky mood lately, depressing and mean. Trevor made me realize that last night. So I decided no more emo corky. Sure, some crappy stuff happened. But I control my reaction to those things, and I'm gonna be happy. So there.

Sunday, November 12

Sorry guys, I had to run. My family went shopping, so I was forced to save the rest of the post for later. And I'm actually finishing it. Sweet.

Oh man, yesterday was so awesome. But I guess I should write about Friday, first. So Friday I was in one of my emo moods. Then I talked to Trevor, and he made me realize that I was being retarded. So after I got offline, I decided that I was gonna be happy. Basically, in my mind, being happy is like saying "You lose" to all the forces that are trying to make me sad. So I'm gonna be happy. Then I decided to make some cookies. We had these cool chocolate chip things that were half chocolate and half peanut butter. So I used those. Then I went to frisbee. I took some cookies to Trevor as a "thank you" for helping me realize how stupid I was being. Frisbee was...cold. But soo much fun! There were a ton of people there. It was great. Me and Trevor were being stupid and silly, and Rebecca was fun, and Melissa Robinson was fun, and Marissa was pretty funny. :D James gave me a lot of crap, just cuz I was there and he could. That was fun, too. In case you hadn't picked up on it, I had fun. And Trevor looked like a whale. Haha. :D Don't ask....Rebecca and Trevor, you know what I mean.

Now on to Saturday. On Saturday I went to a football game. Oh wait, backtracking to this summer. I went to Utah Business Week. I met this kid named Brenton, and we got to be really good friends. We had ton of fun. The catch is that he's from Duchesne. So obviously I don't get to see him often. He's on the football team at his highschool, and they were playing for State on Saturday at Juan Diego Highschool. So I went and watched him play. Once again, it was freezing. But I had the greatest time. Even thought the only person I knew, was Brenton. And obviously, he was playing so I couldn't really talk to him. But I had a great time. I got to talk to him after the game, but only for a few seconds. They won 30-0. So he was pretty busy celebrating. I was super excited to see him. It was good.

After, my parents came and picked me up. We went to JC Penny. I got shirts for sadies. They're pretty much awesome. Now all I have to do is a) get answered and b) plan everything. So I'm almost ready. ;)

When I got home, I called Jaron and we decided we wanted to have a movie night, but we wanted it small. So we called Alan, and told him to come.

After I wrote the first part of this post, my family went shopping. We (me, Bailey, and Jasey) needed winter coats. So we all went to Sports Authority and got to pick out a new coat. Then we went to Jamba Juice as a present for getting good grades.

Shortly after we got home, Jaron and Alan showed up. We had a really great time. It was the most fun I've had in a long time. We watched Cars and had cookies and soda and ice cream. It was really great to spend time with my two best friends, especially because it was just us. I was super happy that they both could come. They left around 10:30.

Then I went to bed. I pretty much crashed. It was a busy day! And now, I'm here writing this. When I should be getting ready for church. I have some more stuff I would like to write about. Some ideas, and some stuff like that. So I will be writing more sometime soon. Maybe. ;)

A Celebration

Hey people. ;) I'm back. This week has been one of craziness. The times I've actually been able to sit down at a computer have been few and far in-between. Not to mention, short. But here I am. It's the end of term. So not too much homework this weekend. The beginning of a new month, so this month we might actually stay on top of things at work. And... umm... I'm sure there's something else that I could be celebrating right now. Let me think about it.

So anyway... Welcome to corky's Blogging Party! There will be much partying. There will be music (sorta), food (not really), and friends (if they decide to read this. ;) ). It looks like it's gonna be a great party! Shweet.

First Item of Celebration: End of Term! Heck yes! School has been sucky this year. It's hard. And I whine about it often. So imagine my surprise when I check my grades and *gasp* I have 6 A's and 2 A-'s. Excuse me while I celebrate! *Go Courtney, Go Courtney!* You see, unlike Thatcher, I'm not a brilliant 4.0 student. I'm a semi-smart 3.9 student. And proud of it, yo.

Second Item of Celebration: New month! We're no longer behind at work! For those of you who don't know (most of you), I work with Sarah. We stuff envelopes. Last month, our goal was 10 boxes. Because of Seussical, we didn't work much. So... we got very much behind. We finished our last boxes for October on Friday. And we get payed next week! Hooray!

Third Item of Celebration: Seussical! It was INCREDIBLE. I've been meaning to blog about it for some time now, and I'm finally doing it. It was so much fun. I loved watching my friends on stage (or in the pit), knowing how hard they worked to make this show great. I loved seeing them remember lines that they had struggled with or hold out notes that they were having a hard time with (Austin was amazing!). On Monday night I got to sit back stage with them. That was sooo much fun! I loved seeing how everything fit together and how much fun they had while they performed and worked hard to make things run smoothly. Needless to say, the after parties were fun too! lol. Leatherbyes on Monday was awesome. I didn't get to stay long, but it was still good. Oh, duh. I almost forgot: Before the show each night, we would mess around with my hair. We would Seussify it. Then Alan or Eric would do my make-up. On Monday night I actually had someone tell me that I was wonderful in the play and that we had all done a great job. I just thanked her and walked away laughing. I also got to do Stuart's and Austin's hair. And I just helped out with little things here and there. Nothing huge. But seriously, a round of applause goes out to anyone who had anything to do with Seussical.

Fourth Item of Celebration: Halloween. I love Halloween. One of the best holidays EVER. I mean, Haunted Houses. Haunted Corn Mazes. Costumes. Candy. Parties. Movies. I LOVE Halloween. On Halloween I had a Halloween Party. It was a costume party, so almost everyone dressed up. We watched Hocus Pocus. Hocus Pocus is the best Halloween movie ever. There was tons of candy. Tons of food. And tons of people. :S It started out as a little party. It didn't necessarily end up that way. :D But it was good fun. And Jaron sang his MJ song. I love the MJ song. It's awesome.

Ok. I've run out of items worth celebrating. Now we're just into the Corky News.

Sadies is coming up. Do I have a date or don't I? I dunno. Let me know if you find out. ;)

Bailey found my CTR ring! I'm so excited. Ok, that's our Fifth Item of Celebration.

Umm... I have a cold. Again. I hate being sick. I blame the drama geeks. They all get sick after the musical, and I hang out with them. So I get sick. I particularly blame Sarah and Austin B.

I think that's about it. This post is huge. But that's ok. I'll try to start blogging more frequently again. You better all comment on this, or I'm going to my corner to cry. And I won't want to blog anymore. :D
see ya!
