Totally Random

Hola!

Ok, so I totally wanna blog about Seussical! But... I'm gonna wait until after the final performance on Monday. Cuz I KNOW that it's going to be the best one! And that means a ton, because they've been pretty amazing so far.

I love football. The Colts totally rock.

Umm....So yeah. It's short for now. I promise that either Monday or Tuesday there will be a huge post. Probably all about Seussical. Yay.

Measure of a Man

Clay Aiken-Measure Of A Man
If one day you discover him
Broken down
He's lost everything
No cars, no fancy clothes
To make him who he's not
The woman at his side
Is all that he has got
Chorus: Why do you ask him
Move heaven and earth
To prove his love has worth?
Would he walk on the water?
Would he run through fire?
Would he stand before you
When it's down to the wire?
Would he give his life up
To be all he can?
Is that
How you measure a man?
If by chance all he had to give you
Was three words wrapped around your finger
Would that be deep enough
At the end of everyday?
And how will you ever know
If the man is what he says?
Chorus
He never gives up
Let's go of his dreams
His world goes around
For his one true belief
Is that how you know?
Is that what it means?
Hey
Would he walk on the water?
Would he run through fire?
Would he stand before you?
Will he be your anchor
When the dark unfolds?
Will he always love you
The best that he knows?
Would he give his life up
To be all he can?
Is that
How you measure a man?
Would he walk on the water?
Would he run through fire?
Would he stand before you
When it's down to the wire?
Would he give his life up
To be all he can?
Is that
How you measure
Is that
How you measure a man?

Ok, yes, that song is by Clay Aiken. Make fun of me if you wish. But I would ask you to please read the lyrics. This song has a really good point. It applies to girls and to boys. How do you measure someone? You can't. Because you don't know the secrets of their hearts. You don't know their thoughts. Which brings me to this point, if you can't read minds, how do you really know someone? How do you know what they want, and what they think, or care for? People say "oh, they wouldn't do that. I know them." Do you really know them? People are so...impossible to predict. Sure, some people stick with the same routines forever, but people can do things that they wouldn't usually do. People make mistakes, people change. It may be for the better, it may not be. The song also asks what you would do for people that you love. How far are you willing to go for someone, and is it for the right reason? And if you don't truly know that person, how can you go so far out there for them? So that's my pondering for the day. I bet you thought I was going to have an answer for that question. Nope. It's a genuine question. It's what I've been thinking about today. Sorry if it doesn't make any sense, I'm just sorta rambling...
Anyway, have a nice day.

It's Me!

Hey Guys! I'm baaaack! lol. No, I didn't actually go anywhere. I just didn't have anything to blog about. What can I say, I have a boring life.

Things continue as normal in the life of Courtney. Things are boring. School is hard. Not much out of the ordinary. Things are actually getting busier. I have Big Brother Big Sister on Mondays, and Key Club on Tuesdays. And I think Tania said something about FBLA on Thursdays? Plus Taylorsville City Youth Council on Wednesdays. Insane.

Oh, oh! Guess What?!?! WE WON A FOOTBALL GAME!!!! 20-19 AGAINST HILLCREST!!! IT WAS FREAKING AMAZING!!! If you didn't go to that game, I'm sorry. You missed out. At about 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter, we all climbed out of the stands onto the track. It was incredible. Football players were crying. We were all screaming. It was truly a moment for the history books, seriously.

Girls, Sadies is coming. If you haven't asked anyone yet, better get crackin'. You're runnin' out of time. ;) Sadies: November 18.

Some people went to a haunted house on Saturday. Not really scary at all. It was definitely fun tho. Except Alan ditched us. 4 girls and Alan. Wow, there are some jokes you could make there. ;)

I asked someone to sadies. But we'll leave that story until I get answered. If I get answered. :S Yikes.

Late start day Wednesday! Hooray for sleeping in!

In other news, Nathan, you're pretty much amazing! You make me laugh! ;) Thanks for the comment. ;)

Wow, life is boring. ;) But I like it. :D

Short and Simple

Hey Guys, what's up? Today's been...I dunno. I mean, bad things didn't happen. I'm just..ugh. I think it's the prospect of doing so much homework. I have a ton... Especially in english. And we all know how much I LOVE that class. Now that I'm no longer behind, it's not as bad. But I still am having a hard time.

Lately I've really wanted to just sit down and write. Something creative, not because I have to. Just because. I have so many ideas. But I don't have time to get them down on paper. It's killing me.

Well, I think I'm finally done with strep. I'm still taking my meds. Lol. But I feel better.

I got my homecoming pics today, and they look pretty dang good. :D

Well, this will have to fill my need to write for now. I gotta get working.
Asta.

PS: Nathan, I hope you get well soon!

I Feel Loved :D

Alright, so if you've seen me lately, or read my blog, you know I've been sick. Last night I was feeling particularly crappy, and so my mom decided that I could skip early morning, and 1st period. I had to go to 2nd and 3rd, cuz they're english and pre-calc, and then I could come home for the rest of the day. Today I was still feeling pretty crappy. And I guess I looked it too, cuz I had more than one person tell me "You don't look so good." So I came home after pre-calc. Laid around all day, slept a little, and watched Newsies. I decide I probably should do some homework. So I came upstairs, only to hear my mom call me back down. Jaron and Kortney were standing on my doorstep with a card, treats, and hugs. :D They brought oj, m&ms, kitkat, reeses pieces, starburst, and ice cream. :D I have the best friends every. :D I just wanted everyone to know that.

I Live.

Yes, Nathan, I live. :D It's been a hectic week, sorry for not posting for so long. I know, I know. It's been...9 days. No excuse! lol. Let me give you a summary of my life lately.

Homecoming week. Busy. Stressful, especially for girls...and guys...and pretty much anyone going to homecoming. Not only did I have to make sure I had everything ready for the dance, but I had to do plenty of homework, watch musical rehearsals (ok, I didn't HAVE to do that, but hey! A girl needs a little fun!), chores, and family activities...Plus I couldn't find anything to write about. :D Oh, and I've been sick. So there's my excuse. ;)

Homecoming Football Game: We scored!! Against Skyline! We scored!! Ok, so they might have possibly let us. But who cares!? We Scored!!
Final Score: Skyline-38 Taylorsville-6

Homecoming Day Date: The guys picked up the girls at about 8 (depending on what order you got picked up in, it may have been anywhere from 7:30 to 8:15). We then went to Taylor's house for breakfast, which the guys made for us. Let me say, that was an experience. Now, before you start yelling at me, Jaron, I did not say it was a BAD experience. I just said it was an experience. ;) When they had to ask how to make scrambled eggs, we girls all looked at each other and tried to refrain from laughing. We weren't very successful with that. :D We laughed the whole time. Especially when Austin opened the waffle iron and said "Oh, look! It's multicolored!" Oh, boy. We just knew we were going to be in for a treat. And we laughed. A lot. Next stop: Walmart. Apparently, Walmart is Homecoming Central, or something. We saw 3 or 4 other groups there. We played the shopping cart game. Basically, each couple gets a shopping cart and fills it with 25 of the most random things they can find. Then everyone trades carts, and the first couple to empty their cart (putting things WHERE THEY GO) wins. We got second. Go me and Austin. :D After that we went to a park to have lunch, and we just messed around. Around 12:30 I started to get a headache and my throat was sorta sore...The girls got home around 2.

Homecoming Dance and After: The guys picked us up around 6, and we went to Peter's house for dinner. We got to the dance around 7:45ish. We got pics first thing, so we didn't have to wait in a line at all. We stayed at the dance until it ended at 10...while we were there, we danced. Big surprise. ;) After the dance, we went to Stuarts house and basically just hung out there until 11:30. My head and throat was starting to hurt again. So when I got home, I crashed.

Conference Weekend: Woke up around 9:30 on Saturday feeling horrible. Watched conference, which was great! :D I love conference. Even through the TV, the Spirit is so strong. I love to see the Prophet, even though he's what? 96? He's amazing! He travels all over the world, and he's just...incredible. I started watching the afternoon conference, but because I felt so crappy, I ended up sleeping through half of it. The same thing happened Sunday. :D Sorry guys, I feel bad about that. But I just felt horrible...

Today: Got up, went to school. At the end of second period I got a call from my mom...telling me that my little sister has strep throat and that she got it from me. Fun. So she brought me meds. :D lol. And Jaron and I went to Jamba Juice for lunch. Yay! lol. Came home, crashed. And now here I am. :D

Everything you wanted to know about my week and more. lol. And now, I have history homework to attend to.
Adios!
